Mr. George Keati Buchanan son of the late George Padgett and the late Sherby Buchanan was born October 23, 1974. At an early age "Keati moved to Johnston with his beloved grandmother (the late Annie Padgett- Ma Padgett). 

Keati was a Strom Thurmond High graduate. He also served in the Army for several years and worked both in textile and as a truck driver. His hobbies and interest included sports, communicating with family and friends. Keati joined the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and served as a Trustee here at his church. He was well known and embraced throughout the community. 

Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many with his presence and will be remembered for the love that he shared with family and friends. 

Keati leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. 

Keati leaves to love, honor and cherish his memories, his wife, Chanate Buchanan, his children, Jequilla Shanae Marshall, Kshun Quardez Buchanan, Xavier Alexander Reynolds, Keati DeVarje Buchanan, Bryston Markel Butler, Ketwan Danaijah Buchanan, Tobias Malik Williams, Kai'Anna Chantel Buchanan; god-children, Bernard Wise, Jr. and Jordan Culbreath. Three grandchildren, Siblings, Eric Buchanan (Shatavia), Lorraine Duffy, Carol Duffy; onus Brothers, Joe Mathis, Carlos Watkins; bonus sisters, Hope Key, Tonya Plair (Neil), Tamika Key, and Renada Key, and a host of aunts, uncles cousins nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
