James Ellis

Mr. James Ellis Jr. was born February 15, 1963, in Athens, GA. He was the son of the late James Ellis, Sr., and the late Gladys Muckle Ellis.

He departed this earthly life at the Wellstar- MCG in Augusta, Georgia on July 24, 2026.

James was educated in the School System of Athens, GA.

He was employed as a Machine Operator at Ridge Recycler until his health required different of him. 

James was  blessed to meet fall in love with and later marry Ms. Willie R. Holmes . They enjoyed  beautiful years  together as a couple and friends. 

James was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling.

James leaves to love honor and cherish his memory: his wife, Willie R. “Parge” Ellis, of the home; a daughter. Autoya Ellis, Athens, GA, a son, Jameco Ellis, Athens, GA, four siblings, Jerry Muckle, Bruce Muckle(Stephanie), and Frank Ellis, all of Athens, GA; and Johnny Muckle (Sharon), Warrenville, SC; six grand children, three bonus daughters, Shante Holmes, Danielle Holmes and Melanie Holmes, all of Trenton, SC; numerous loved in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He passed away Friday July 24, 2026 at the AU medical Center in Augusta, GA.
