mac Picken

Mac Pickens, was born on October 4, 1942, in Edgefield, SC, to the late Jim Pickens and Ella Richardson Pickens. He departed his life on September 1, 2026, at Edgefield Post Acute in Edgefield, SC, after a sudden, brief illness.

He attended Schools in the Edgefield County School System, and was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Mack was a man who loved God. He loved to sing and loved to hear a good song. When available he loved to ride his bike and ride horses. He was one with nature.

His family was important to him. He loved to work and enjoy the outside. He will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memories a nephew Antonio Pickens of Edgefield, SC and a niece, Patricia Pickens Butler, Trenton, SC, Teresa Edwards, Janice Pickens, JoAnn Simpkins, Sandra Pickens, John Henry Walker and a host of other relatives and friends.
