Naomi Thomas

Naomi Thomas was born May 19, 1935, in Edgefield County, SC. She was the daughter of the late Robert Ware and Ora Mae Smith Ware. She accepted her ticket to Glory Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Edgefield Post Acute, Edgefield.

As a young girl she was educated in the schools of Edgefield County. She was employed as a dietician in Philadelphia until her retirement

She met and married the love of her life, James Thomas. They enjoyed many years of Married bliss. They lived for 25 plus years in Philadelphia until his health mandated that they move closer to a VA Hospital. They also felt it was necessary to return home to help with the care of her mother. (Both her mother and her husband transitioned in the late 1990’s). So they migrated back South to enjoy their golden years.

She was proceeded in Death by her parents, her husband, James Thomas, a son, Carrol Ware and siblings, Charles Ware, Sr., Robert Ware, Jr., Mary Catherine Mosley and Clara Yeldell.

Naomi leaves to cherish her memory, a sister-in-law, Susie Bell Simpkins, a caring family friend, Davis Parkman and a host of other distant relatives and friends.
