Yvonne Anderson

Yvonne Anderson, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on July 7, 1944, in Edgefield County, SC. Yvonne was known for her kind heart, vibrant spirit, and especially her dedication to family. She retired from the Federal Government’s U.S. Senate Office and found her greatest joy in fishing, collecting dolphins, cooking, spending time with her family, and babysitting her great-grandchildren who lovingly called her "Gran-Gran". Her home was always filled with love, warmth, laughter, music, and delicious food.

She is survived by her daughters, Yolanda French (Anthony) and Allison Wright (William) ; her grandchildren, Shamese Richburg (Erick), Kevin T. French (Denise), Quenell Anderson, Bryan Anderson (Britteny), Cory French, Tori Anderson, and Katrina French; her godsons, J’Juan Bailey and Isaiah Grant; a host of great-grandchildren; her siblings, Virginia Amos, Charlie Nicholson (Katherine), and Joel Nicholson; her best friend, Elsie Cook; and so many more loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shaughnessy Weaver, and her parents John Wesley and Mozell Nicholson.
